Week 16

This week in the shop we have been working hard to finish this Sanctuary with a month left of school. We have started painting the inside somewhat of a cream color. Many people have been stopping by to take a look at our beautiful Sanctuary saying it has a lot of potential as we well know, but is great to hear. The whole roof has been put on and looks great. We still have to add some style to the Sanctuary and the doors and windows. The inside and the trim painting will be done within a week and we will be finished with all the painting finally!
What is the ideal form of government and why? Every person has a different view on which government they prefer. In my opinion Democracy is the best and most ideal form of government. I like Democracy although it is frowned upon for the reason that everyone is basically equal on the other hand it seems too much. Democracy is ideal because it is the only government where you get a say and everyone has their own voice on things. We have freedom in Democracy and helps solve problems in better ways than other forms of government do. Those in my opinion are the reasons why Democracy is the ideal form of government.

Week 15

This week in the shop has been very productive. We have put I would say more than half the roof on the Sanctuary and painted the whole outside of it a bamboo color, which I helped paint. As well as some of the inside appears as a cream color. The windows are being worked on around the edges. For half the week the shop was sunny until the last couple rainy days where there isn't much to do other than the work on the little things we need to finish this thing. We have made so much progress with the sanctuary. However we still have important things to do that need to be completed. It is only a little difficult to paint in the little cracks and corners of wood in the sanctuary.
There are four potential career paths I could or anybody yet to work could potentially end up in either minimum wage, a living wage, middle class, and crazy rich. Which is most enjoyable and how do you need to get there. The job that would settle for my minimum wage would be a job in retail for clothing or shoes and doesn't require an education besides the basic speaking skills. Living wage being a manager at a store or restaurant doesn't involve much besides a high school degree or some type of GED. For middle class I could be a Dental Hygienist which requires an associates degree from college. Rich I could be a business women and make my own business which could require school depending on what you want. The one I would love to do the most would either be in retail because I enjoy it the most or owning a business to myself.

Week 14

In the shop we chose the colors of the sanctuary which in my opinion are alright. The top is like a purplish and I have yet to find a word to describe the color of the outside so I will get back to you. Painting the sanctuary has been a really calming project to work on. We also worked on banners helping Brittany out put tape on and folding which was actually a way harder job than it sounds haha. I have also been doing some side work for a friend making a jar, sand blasting and making stickers
May 29,1999, the day I was born. Being born in the last generation of the 90s starting a new century where many new things are being invented. Coming into a world where there are advances in technology and new things getting created almost every day. Coming into a time where there is less racism and war is a good advantage but economically in the 21st century we are killing our Earth. In history if I was born long before 99 everything would be so much different people would be walking everywhere and sending letters instead of texts and calls, gas would be like 50 cents instead of dollars. Are we in the time to be alive or would it have been better to be born earlier? Hmm.

Week #13

This week has been such a productive week with the shop. All the walls are put up and doors cut out as well as the windows. I have put holes in the wall so it can be a start for where to cut out the door which was a big task for me because I got confused when it was in reverse and I was trying to go through. Yesterday I did some fabulous work sand blasting the window sills.

There are a few sides on the debate of immigration. Does immigration bad, does it bringing terrorism, or whatever else people think. As people try to flee there country to get away from terrorism how could we not accept them. Immigration does not bring all bad people, there are a plethora of people that are just looking for a safe and a nice place to live. We should not address this by shoving everyone out and making us as California a place for freedom look like the opposite. We also should not build a giant wall to keep them out, I know a couple of friends that are trying to get there papers, but it is a long process and it is a personal issue for me.

Week 12

This week was a productive week building the structure of the Sanctuary. Yesterday we all individually worked on things as for sawing was my duty. The piece of wood that was making it incapable for us to put in the doors is now both removed. As well we have to make steps. At the beginning of the week we all worked together to pick up the walls and put them together and put screws in the sanctuary. We also discussed maybe if we get a buyer we can go take a field trip to that place and build the beautiful structure up for them.
.  A saying I would say is.. A dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work.     -- Colin Powell. This saying is one on dreams. You can't accomplish anything just sitting around and doing nothing it takes hard work. It doesn't just involve working hard but also putting your mind to it and saying you can achieve what you want.
