Week 7

This week I was not here everyday. However when I was here I started looking at designs for a business card. I am waiting for the logo to be finished so I can incorporate it into all of our work; such as the website, card, any other media or way to make us stand out. I want the logo to be so cool, I feel like it will be modern and simple. If we are trying to sell to teenagers and people like myself I would go for something that will pop out to us. Nikki and I were discussing that, we need something that will catch your eye.
        Jason said he would make me a design of what he wanted the cards to look like, but I have still been looking at ideas. I found a couple cool ones but I do not know what we are going for, modern, fancy, plain. That is the hardest part for me. Today we have 20 days to be up and running. We gotta get out stuff done. I know we can and maybe we can even finish before the due date. It is possible I believe in everyone if we all work together. I feel I can put more effort into my work, this week was not a good week I have had better. I am going to be better this next week. I know I can.
       The production team is cool I like seeing the stuff made. They had started to make a plethora of things. I wish I could do the weeding of the vinyl. It was fun. See ya next week.-

week 6

This week we have worked on interviews not listening to a practice one, but actually being the one interviewed. It was cool I did not feel really nervous. I have done an interview before, this being different there were 3 people doing the interviewing. It was different I do not remember fidgeting much but I believe it naturally happened. I did good and got the job as a VP of marketing. That is interesting and will be fun to experience at least its a VP job too. Striving for that so I feel good. My favorite product ideas are the multi-use phone holders and the t-shirts with one liners on them. I have heard so many people talking about them and how they would totally buy them. I cant wait it is gonna be cool. We talked about the Gloforge, SOO cool and interesting you can make so many unique things with that. So many products people would buy. Its somewhat cheap considering I think we have the money. I would love that. It could make everything so much easier and could make exactly everything I can think of. The video that was showed on it got me. I am amazed by it. Haha

week 5

This week we turned our resume and cover letters in. I turned it in on time which I am so happy about, because I thought I would not finish it. We started to work on how to make designs on wood called the CNC mill. It was cool learning that. I got to make my own piece of wood and I am happy with it. Sanding is not my favorite though. I got to experience how to do it first hand kind of learning how to do it, but might need help next time. Some people got interviewed this week and we did a mock interview. I learned during the mock interview that you should have bring two things that are your weakness'. You should always ask a question to them for example; what do you like about blah blah job and use the name of the company you are interviewing for. I really wanted Nikki to get CEO so I could interview but I do not want to interview anymore because I feel weird and my face would turn red. I have had an interview before, but it is different being someone that goes to my school and I can see everyday. I do not know, its just me. I am weird

The essential question was what are your options after high school. I honestly do not have an idea. I should start to figure it out. I want to know what I would want to do for the rest of my life, but that is a big decision. I do not know what I would want to stick with.. I have another year to figure it out. Hopefully I would have a full time job that pays enough for me to move out of my parents house and live with someone like a friend. I want to maybe take a year off or go immediately to a 4 year or the JC. I could probably get into a 4 year I just dont know which school or where I would want to be. Big decisions. Being independent will be very different I am trying to learn as much as I can before I am actually on my own. There is not much else I have planned for myself besides college I know forsure I will go to college so I can make good money. Maybe start a business, Dental Hygiene is 2 years of school and you get paid good, but that hurts your back and other parts and I already have back problems. I will  figure it out eventually just have to find out what I am good at and what my passion is.

week 4

This week it was a short week we had Monday off which I liked greatly. When we got here Tuesday we started working on resume' and and cover letters pretty sure it was called. It is pretty difficult to write that type of stuff. I never really needed to, but I have written a resume before although, I never turned it in.. It had been a relaxing week that is what I was mostly working on. I finished one cover letter I think I was told to write 2, and 2 resumes also. I am trying to finish my first ones hopefully I can. I learned how to make my resume and cover letter good and now I have an example for future reasons. Thankfully because I did not know what I would do when the time comes.

A labor union. The exact definition off of Google was: An organization of workers formed to promote collective bargaining with employers over wages, hours, fringe benefits, job security, and working conditions. For example when you get a contract from your employer they have to follow all those rules exactly like you have to. If they do not follow the rules on the contract you can form a union with your coworkers to rally against the employer to get what you were promised. You can make negotiations with them and maybe end up getting what you want or just leave work and leave them abandoned without employees.

Week 3

This week is the third week in business and we have learned a lot and have worked through difficulties. I learned working together is a very great thing and you can get stuff done fast by teamwork. We worked on the Rancho cheerleader boxes, the ones they stand on. We wove the vinyl which I really liked because it was meditating like I was told. I tried cutting wood and tried to put muscle into putting the screws in, buuuut that did not really work with me. Cutting wood was a fun thing to try but I could not cut through it fully so that was awkward. Haha. Successful week I think Diana, Nikki, Jamaica, and I worked together and we accidentally pulled some letters off when weaving but I motivated them to not give up and we found the letter in the sticky ball, or we made a new one with scraps. I think we did so great how we worked through it and together. I need to decide what I would want to work at for class I liked working with the material. But I dont know big decision. I wanna be in business so bad when I am older I am thinking this is going to help me a lot for when I am older.

week 2

This week we got things set up on what we need for the structure of our business. I do not know what position I am going to apply for yet so I will have to start thinking about that.. We have worked on the basic building blocks of a company and what we will have to do to get our name out there and sell products. It will probably be difficult but considering there are hundreds of people at this school I am positive we will be able to sell items. Nikki, Diana, and all of us girls have been brainstorming idea for what to make and we have come up with many ideas! I love all of them and want all of the things we thought up. So if I want it I think other people will too, cause im pretty basic. More to come..

week #1

Im pretty excited to start a business. Its something I would want to do as my profession when I am older. It will be great practice this class. Im kind of nervous that I wont be able to think of any ideas to sell anything. I didnt think this class would actually be like this I thought it would be like every other boring class I have getting lectures everyday and sitting trying to stay awake. So far its the opposite its been one of the funnest classes I have and im excited to learn new things this year.
